杜朴（Robert L. Thorp），早期中国艺术领域的权威学者，华盛顿大学圣路易斯分校艺术史和考古系荣休教授，著述丰硕。杜朴博士除了在远东广泛游历和参加田野考察工作外，还合作策划了几个重要的展览，并受邀在多个以中国艺术收藏著称的美国博物馆做讲座。 文以诚 （Richard Ellis Vinograd），著名的中国画研究专家，1995 年起任斯坦福大学艺术和艺术史系主任。他是晚期中国（宋代至今）艺术领域备受尊崇的学者，著有《自我的界限：1600-1900 的中国肖像画》，在许多重要刊物上发表过文章和书评。文以诚博士经常受邀以演讲者、评审或研讨者的身份出席有关中国艺术与文化的会议和论坛。
